Break on Through!!!!

You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Try to run
Try to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side, yeah

We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Yeah! C'mon, yeah

Everybody loves my baby
Everybody loves my baby
She get(s)
She get(s)
She get(s)
She get(s)
I found an island in your arms
Country in your eyes
Arms that chain
Eyes that lie

Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through, oww! Oh, yeah!

Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide

Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Jim Morrison often spoke of obtaining the unknown. He thinks that there is the known, the unknown and in between there are doors. That is how they got the name the doors. So I believe breaking through to the other side, means to barge down the door into the unknown. Jim Morrison believed the body was the soul's prison. So maybe you had to escape your prison. Another possibility is that you have to escape your body to obtain the unknown. Either way this is an intriguing song and Jim Morrison is an intriguing person. The Doors Rock!!!
